How to play

Flip any card to see its animal. Then pick one of the other cards to find its twin. Match them and you hit the jackpot (with sound effects nobody asked for). Miss, and both cards flip back, so remember where they were! The clock starts on your first flip and stops when all 10 pairs are found. Can you beat your time?

Why memory games are good for you

Matching games are more than a way to pass the time. Every round asks your brain to notice where things are, hold several locations in mind at once, and recall them a few seconds later. That kind of short-term, or working, memory is the same skill you use to remember a phone number long enough to dial it or keep track of where you set your keys. Playing regularly is a fun way to keep it in practice.

Tips to lower your time: flip cards in a pattern (row by row) instead of at random, say the animals out loud as you see them, and try to remember pairs by their position, like "pig, top corner." You'll be surprised how fast your time drops after a few rounds.
